Our suggestion: stay on the French shore for several days of golf, or use Lausanne for a holiday combining the championship with the lake.
Competition starts 08 July 2027

Tickets
Official tickets and current admission terms
Check the event, year, day and age category. Avoid ticket screenshots and unsolicited resale offers. Use only the organiser’s permitted transfer or resale route.
Tickets, packages and young spectators
Confirmed: the organiser's ticketing page still advertises its 2026 edition. No complete 2027 tariff or opening date for sales was established from that page. Follow the official ticketing link for the new release rather than purchasing a product simply because it appears in a search for next year's event.
For the previous edition, the organiser offered a standard Live ticket, a premium area called The 16th, and a Live-Fitting Callaway experience combining admission with a fitting activity. These are useful examples of how differently a golf ticket can be packaged. Compare access to the course, the location of any hosted space, food and drink, and collection arrangements before deciding whether an upgrade improves your particular day.
Our suggestion: general admission is the sensible starting point for a visitor who wants to walk and watch several holes. A package becomes more useful when a definite base, included refreshments or a particular view matters more than moving around. Ask about age bands, a child's own admission document, carer admission and any identification requirements before paying. The 2027 under-25 terms and junior concessions have not been established; a youth offer at another major does not transfer to Evian.
2026 edition, for guidance
Live tickets cost €25 for one day, €40 for two, €55 for three and €65 for four; under-18s were free. These are 2026 prices, not a 2027 tariff. Confirmed: official ticketing.
Hospitality and upgrades
The organiser's current hospitality page labels its offers 2026. It describes Lake Club lunch and access to the 16th and evian Bar, plus VIP parking/shuttle services; The 16th is a separate hospitality offer. Reconfirm the 2027 inclusions, price, collection arrangements and availability with the organiser before buying. A 2026 price is not a 2027 quote, and hospitality parking is not automatically general-public parking.
Official hospitality and package buying information
Check package parking and transfers before paying.
Getting there
For Evian Championship 2027, plan the station or airport transfer as part of the outward booking. Save both directions. Check the final event approach.
Lausanne ferry and the final climb
Confirmed: CGN operates the Lausanne–Évian N1 lake route. The championship's 2026 visitor page described the crossing as approximately 35 minutes and linked the ferry terminal, tourist office and SNCF station with the golf by shuttle. These were the previous edition's arrangements; the 2027 tournament shuttle timetable is not yet established.
2026 edition, for guidance: typical non-event-day time; allow longer on event days. CGN’s dated N1 timetable.
Our suggestion: Lausanne works best when you actively want to stay in Switzerland, not simply because a room appears cheaper. Add both crossings, travel between your hotel and Ouchy, waiting time and the course connection to the daily comparison. Plan an earlier outward sailing than the very last one that could reach a desired tee time. Check a separate return sailing rather than assuming morning frequency continues into the evening.
The ferry is a passenger journey across an international border. Carry the travel documents required for your trip, and check your mobile roaming and payment arrangements for both countries. If attending the final round from Lausanne, decide in advance what you will do if play finishes after your preferred boat. A flexible evening is more useful than a dinner reservation that depends on everything running to the minute.
Road access, parking and arriving at the gate
Confirmed: the 2026 organiser's instructions used public parking with shuttles, including a site at Cité de l'eau in Publier. They also described a separate accreditation process and parking arrangements for The 16th package. The 2027 parking locations, permits and operating hours remain unannounced in the sources consulted.
Our suggestion: save the new tournament directions when they appear, including the correct entrance for your admission type. A golf club's everyday arrival instructions can send you to the wrong place during a major. Allow for queues at the car park, the shuttle and security, and keep the day's ticket accessible without unpacking the whole bag.
For a taxi, agree both arrival and collection arrangements. Ask where a driver is permitted to stop during the championship and whether the return needs booking. Do not build a plan around stepping outside the clubhouse and immediately finding a cab. If you intend to cycle, wait for the event's bicycle-parking information and consider the climb as well as the outward distance. Keep valuables and bulky luggage at your accommodation so that admission is a straightforward bag check.
On the day
2026 edition, for guidance: general-public entrance at the bottom of the course, Route du Golf. 2027 entrance and park-and-ride instructions not yet published.
For Evian Championship 2027, use the signed event drop-off and collection arrangements. Agree the taxi return in advance. Check permitted event collection points.
2026 edition, for guidance
Cité de l’eau Park & Ride was at 350 route du Vieux Mottay, Amphion, 74500 Publier. Collège les Rives du Léman was at 7 Route du Cornet, 74500 Évian-les-Bains; the organiser marked that car park full for 2026. The parking, ferry-terminal, tourist-office and station shuttles ran every 30 minutes, 06:45–20:00 Thursday–Friday and 08:00–18:00 Saturday–Sunday. Forty free bicycle spaces were provided near the main entrance; bring a lock. Confirmed: 2026 practical information. Check the 2027 arrangements before selecting a car park.
The course and site layout
Use the Evian Championship 2027 course guide to choose your viewing holes, then the edition-specific spectator map for entrances, public crossings, grandstands, fan facilities and toilets. The final 2027 layout is not yet published.
Official spectator information / map; check the edition
A major beside Lake Geneva
Confirmed: the organiser names Evian Resort Golf Club as the championship venue, while the LPGA identifies the tournament as a women's major. This is a different trip from a British seaside links: your planning revolves around the lake, the hillside above Évian and connections between France and Switzerland. Give the destination a proper stay rather than trying to stitch a day of golf between two flights.
Our suggestion: choose two days at the championship if you can. Spend the first learning the course, watching a mixture of groups and finding a comfortable viewing position. Use the second for a player you want to follow or a longer spell watching approaches and putting. You will appreciate the decisions more once you understand the contours and the routes between holes.
For a mixed-interest party, agree how many golf days everyone actually wants before booking rooms. A central Évian base lets companions make their own plans without needing the same car throughout the day. A Lausanne base offers a different style of break, but every golf morning then starts with a lake crossing and a further transfer to the course.
Dates and choosing your day
Confirmed: the tournament's home page gives 8–11 July 2027. The previous edition was held from 9–12 July 2026, as shown on its practical information page. Keep those years separate when reading opening times, parking notices and ticket offers: the current date banner and the previous visitor instructions do not all describe the same edition.
Our suggestion: arrive before your first golf day. A travel delay is less expensive in lost enjoyment if the next morning is still free for the championship. A relaxed arrival also gives you time to find breakfast, locate the station or ferry landing and work out how your accommodation connects with the tournament entrance.
Thursday or Friday suits a first visit if you enjoy seeing more players and are prepared for an early start. A Sunday ticket suits a traveller who wants the result and presentation, but make the journey home flexible enough to stay for the finish. Golf can run later than your outline itinerary, especially after a weather interruption. A night after your final day avoids turning the closing holes into a calculation about airport check-in.
A comfortable way to watch the course
Our suggestion: begin with the public map and identify a manageable loop rather than setting off after the busiest group immediately. On a hillside course, several short walks can be more enjoyable than repeatedly climbing back across the property. Pick a place where you can see an approach land and the next putt, stay for a few groups, then move while your legs are fresh.
The official 2026 food information identified refreshment areas around the public village and several parts of the course. Use the new edition's map to combine viewing with a drink, toilets and a rest; catering locations can change. Eat before you are exhausted and avoid using your main lunch break just as the group you came to see reaches your chosen green.
Grandstand and premium-area access depends on the admission purchased and the day's operating arrangements. Ask a marshal before joining a queue if you are unsure. Keep steps and gangways clear, remove your rucksack when standing tightly among other spectators and leave a fair view for children and seated visitors. A quieter position with a clear sightline is often more rewarding than the back of a famous-hole crowd.
A day at the event
2027 rounds are 8–11 July, confirmed in the organiser's current homepage title. 2026 edition, for guidance: the official practical information gives public access/ticketing 06:45 on Thursday/Friday and 08:00 Saturday/Sunday; the official 2026 preview gives first tees 07:00 Thursday/Friday and 08:30 Saturday/Sunday. Check the 2027 daily schedule before travelling; these earlier opening times are guidance.
A suggested sequence for your day
- After gates open: clear security and collect the site map.
- Check the draw and find the practice range viewing.
- Follow an early group or settle beside a favourite hole.
- Take food, water and toilet breaks between viewing sessions.
- Choose afternoon holes with your return walk in mind.
- Leave in time for your booked return connection.
Phones, packing and changing weather
Confirmed: the organiser's published 2026 spectator charter told visitors to follow marshals, stay behind ropes, avoid running and refrain from photographs or films during play. It also instructed visitors to turn off mobile phones. This is stricter than casual assumptions about filming golf; read the 2027 charter before taking equipment onto the course.
Our suggestion: carry a compact waterproof, a warm layer, sun protection, comfortable shoes with grip and only the equipment you will use. Keep your ticket and travel details available offline. Save phone calls for a place where neither your voice nor a notification will distract players, and put the device away before a group prepares to hit.
The previous safety instructions warned that rain can make the course slippery and required spectators to respond to storm warnings. If play is suspended, follow staff directions immediately rather than sheltering beneath an isolated tree. Build rests into the day, drink regularly and keep enough battery for the journey back. Before packing food, bottles, folding seats or umbrellas, compare them with the current admission conditions, especially if a specialist dietary or medical item needs prior permission.
2026 village and food, for guidance
The public village opened 09:00–19:00 Thursday–Friday and 09:00–18:00 at the weekend. The Food Court had four food trucks, with another by the ninth tee and further outlets around the course. The published rules required phones off and prohibited photography or video during play. Confirmed: official practical guide.
Our suggestion for Evian Championship: start near the practice range if spectator access is open, watch an early group, then settle by a closing hole after a food break. Check the leaderboard before moving. Leave enough time for your booked return.
Getting back to your accommodation
For Geneva, 2026 operator timetable, valid 14 December 2025–12 December 2026, for guidance: the final listed rail departure from Évian is the 21:51 TER Sunday–Friday, arriving Annemasse 22:29 and connecting to the 22:35 L4 for Genève/Cornavin at 22:58. Saturday's last listed train leaves Évian at 20:21, reaches Annemasse 20:59, and connects to L4 at 21:05 for Genève at 21:28. A later 23:00 replacement/rail-network bus is shown on Friday/Saturday, reaching Annemasse 00:05, with L4 at 00:35 reaching Genève at 00:58. The bus symbol matters: do not stand on a train platform expecting the late bus. Ask the operator for the correct stop. These timetable connections total 1 hour 7 minutes by rail or 1 hour 58 minutes by the late bus connection: typical non-event-day time; allow longer on event days. Engineering works can change them. July 2027's final trains, buses and connection protection have not been established; check your exact date and final hotel stop before paying for accommodation in Geneva.
If a storm delays play, decide early whether to leave the golf for the connection you have checked or use a pre-booked alternative. Do not assume that a missed ferry can be replaced by a cheap taxi around the lake. Walking downhill after a long day can also feel very different from walking into town on arrival; use lit pavements and arrange a collection point if your hotel is away from the centre.

Choosing between four accommodation bases
Our suggestion: Évian-les-Bains is the most straightforward base for repeated tournament visits. Compare the actual position of a room against the station, landing stage, restaurants and the eventual golf transport. A lakefront address can be attractive for evenings, while a hillside property may involve more climbing than its map distance suggests. Ask about late arrival if your flight or train gets in after reception closes.
Thonon-les-Bains is worth comparing for a French-side stay when Évian choices do not suit your party. Confirm the first and last useful rail connections and the link from the station to your room. A lower nightly price becomes less compelling if it creates a daily taxi journey for every spectator.
Lausanne suits travellers who want Swiss city evenings and are happy to make the lake journey part of the occasion. Geneva suits an airport night, a city break or an itinerary with fewer golf days; examine the full commute before choosing it for all four rounds. For each base compare cancellation terms, breakfast times, air conditioning, steps, parking and the final payable total. Keep your dates flexible until tickets and the essential transport fit together.

Make a weekend of it
- Palais Lumière — Exhibitions in the former thermal building; check the programme for your spare day.
- Source Cachat — Add the spring to a walk around central Évian.
- Historic funicular — Ride between the lakeside and upper town during its published operating season.
- Pré Curieux water gardens — A separate boat-and-gardens outing; book the official visit and check language and access arrangements.
Evenings without another complicated journey
Our suggestion: keep the first evening close to your accommodation. After an international journey, a walk beside the lake and an easy meal make a better start than another tight connection. On golf days, aim for somewhere you can reach in the clothes and shoes you have actually spent the day wearing, with time to drop your bag first.
In Évian or Thonon, plan a French-shore evening around your own pace: a promenade walk, an unhurried restaurant booking or takeaway food back at the room. In Lausanne, make the return boat the fixed point and dinner the flexible one. In Geneva, a final-night city stay can simplify an early flight, but allow time to move accommodation rather than carrying your cases to the golf.
For a family, confirm kitchen facilities and shopping options before choosing an apartment. A place to prepare breakfast can be more useful than a fashionable evening address when everyone needs to leave early. If your group splits between golf and sightseeing, agree a meeting place independent of the course gates. Mobile reception, roaming or a flat battery should not leave anyone unsure how to rejoin the party.
Évian lakefront: food and drink
- La Voile — A restaurant and ice-cream stop in Évian’s port.
- Yacht Restaurant — French cooking with a lake-view terrace.
- Le Radeau d’Alexis — A panoramic restaurant above the lake.
Thonon: food and drink
- Le Patio côté lac — Traditional French cooking at Port de Rives.
- La Voile — A brasserie on the quays.
- Le Remous — A restaurant at the port.
Lausanne: food and drink
- Café Grancy — A café option in the station and Ouchy district.
- Tibits — Vegetarian food at Lausanne station.
- Café du Vieil Ouchy — Swiss dishes close to the lakeside.
Travelling from the UK
- Check your passport's issue date and remaining validity.
- Count France and Switzerland within the same Schengen allowance.
- Allow extra border time for free EES registration.
- ETIAS is not operating: check the official launch updates.
- Carry an eligible GHIC and suitable travel insurance.
- France uses euros; Switzerland uses Swiss francs.
- Pack type E and type J compatible adaptors.
- Check driving documents, Crit'Air restrictions and motorway vignette needs.
- Confirm roaming coverage on both sides of Lake Geneva.
- Emergency: 112; French medical help 15; Swiss ambulance 144.
Lausanne is on the Swiss side: budget in Swiss francs (CHF), while Évian uses euros. Euro acceptance in some Swiss shops does not turn the crossing into a euro-only trip; Switzerland Tourism advises Swiss francs or cards, with change commonly returned in CHF. Useful questions are “Où est la navette pour le golf ?” (Where is the golf shuttle?), “À quelle heure est le dernier bateau ?” (What time is the last boat?) and “Où est l'arrêt de bus ?” (Where is the bus stop?). Keep the destination written down as well as saying it.

From the UK through Geneva or Paris
Confirmed: Geneva Airport has a railway station connected to its terminal, with Swiss and international ticket advice available through SBB. For UK travellers, compare flights into Geneva with an overland journey through Paris. Search actual services for your travel days and price the entire onward journey, including luggage and the transfer to your chosen shore of the lake.
A Geneva arrival leaves two broad approaches: arrange a road transfer to your French-side accommodation, or use the rail network and onward connections. Tell a transfer provider the exact hotel and number of bags, and agree a collection point and total fare. For a hire car, clarify the collection sector, cross-border permission, insurance and return location before booking.
Confirmed: SNCF Connect sells journeys between Paris and Évian-les-Bains, with route choices that can involve connections. From Britain, allow time between your international arrival in Paris and the onward station, rather than treating Paris as a single interchange. Our suggestion: rail is particularly appealing if you are extending the holiday and can travel in daylight without a rushed connection. Book the last local leg as carefully as the international train; arriving in the town is only part of reaching your room.
Before travelling abroad
Accessibility and families
Contact the Evian Championship 2027 organiser before buying if you need companion admission, mobility hire, accessible parking or a shorter step-free route. Check junior tickets and accompanying-adult conditions for the booked edition.
Official accessibility / event contact information
Accessibility and planning a shorter day
Confirmed: the 2026 practical page described golf carts from the public entrance for ticket holders with reduced mobility, limited to facilitating access into the course. It did not describe a general on-demand transport service around every hole. The 2027 access arrangements, viewing platforms and companion-ticket terms need to be obtained from the organiser.
Our suggestion: ask about the complete route you want to make: parking or ferry arrival, boarding a shuttle, reaching security, accessible toilets and a suitable viewing position. Explain the mobility aid you use and whether you can transfer into a vehicle. A promise of assistance at the entrance is only useful if the route before and after it also works for you.
Choose a room with confirmed access details, not just an accessibility filter. Ask about entrance steps, lifts, bathroom layout and the slope outside. If you are travelling via Geneva, the airport advises arranging assistance through the airline in advance. For a reduced walking day, choose one comfortable viewing area and a realistic departure time. Keep essential medication and an extra layer with you, and ask staff where to go if weather changes your planned route.
