OFF TO THE GOLF

About Off to the Golf

Off to the Golf is an independent spectator travel guide operated by Does Your Duck Quack.

Golf trips, from the first train to the final putt

Off to the Golf is for people travelling to watch professional golf in the UK and Ireland, the Evian Championship in France and the Ryder Cup. The guides bring the event, the journey and the overnight stay together so you can choose a ticketed day and a practical base without stitching together a pile of disconnected notes.

The site is operated by Does Your Duck Quack, 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, EH2 4AN. Questions and corrections can be sent to webmaster@offtothegolf.com. Use the corrections page for the details that help us investigate a factual change.

How the guides are researched

We research each page from the sources linked on it, using AI tools to help draft and organise, and check facts against those sources before publishing.

Official championship, venue and transport sources support the factual details. Source lists identify confirmed information; practical recommendations are the site’s suggestions. Event-specific rules take priority over general spectator advice. Where next year’s arrangement has not been announced, the relevant guide distinguishes a previous year’s example from a current instruction.

The event hubs focus on admission, transport, nearby bases, evenings and watching comfortably. Venue guides explain a course’s setting and character. Accommodation guides compare areas rather than assigning unsupported scores to individual hotels. The calendar helps you choose dates, and the spectator guides cover decisions shared by several events.

Funding, independence and images

Accommodation links use Booking.com through the CJ affiliate programme. Some links earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you. An accommodation reservation is separate from event admission unless an authorised package expressly includes tickets. Read the affiliate disclosure before booking.

Off to the Golf is independent of The R&A, the DP World Tour, the LPGA, the Ladies European Tour, Ryder Cup organisers and the venues covered. Their names identify the subjects of the guides and do not imply endorsement.

The landscape artwork is original artwork created for the site, rather than a photograph or a navigational course map. Course photographs carry their photographer, licence and source beneath each image. They are resized proportionally for delivery. Location maps use credited OpenStreetMap data. Illustrations should never be used to establish the appearance or exact layout of a real course.
